Chromebooks in Communities
During lockdown I’m sure we have all experienced feelings of isolation, anxiety and low wellbeing. One thing that helps many people is to keep in touch with family and friends using technology … from mobile phones to social media and on to face-to-face sessions using zoom, houseparty or one of the other systems. However, lockdown can affect some people more than others, and if you don’t have access to communication technology you can feel especially isolated.
The DATRIS project has started to work with other agencies in Pembrokeshire to provide equipment so that they can continue to give support to young people. The first batch of Chromebooks were given to HaverHub and to POINT this week. POINT are due to loan them out to specific people in the Fishguard area so that they can contact each other as well as continue their education while at home.
