So now you know
DATRIS is a Big Lottery Funded project. The acronym stands for Digital Assets and Training for Rural Innovative Solutions. It is quite a mouthful but it does summarise what the project is all about. The main aim of the DATRIS project is to promote the use of Information Technology in the rural parts of Pembrokeshire. It will achieve this by establishing key people within each community who will act as ‘Digital Links’. The project will provide as much advice and support as is needed for these important people for them to be able to spread digital knowledge and capability to other people in their communities.
One of the main thrusts of the project, early on, has been to redevelop the Pembrokeshire Halls website. This has given me, as project coordinator, the opportunity to introduce myself to different communities and talk to them about digital matters.
