Training in Hermon
On a wet Wednesday in August I traveled up to Canolfan Hermon in the Preselis to help deliver a training session to community groups on how to make short videos. It was really good to be able to take part in an event in a village hall again, although we had to restrict numbers and keep the community bubbles socially distant.
My colleague, Sophie Jenkins from the Preseli Heartlands project, gave a talk about filming, editing and publishing videos using just a smartphone. My contribution to the day was to talk about filming in general and then how to edit films on a computer before publishing them. We talked about different hardware and software options, depending on budget, and the attendees had a chance to try the equipment and create their own films.
It was a busy day but an enjoyable one, and great for me to be back in communities.
